Sign the Petition for a New Elementary School in Downtown Brooklyn

The group is called Downtown Brooklyn School Solution and is for parents of school-aged (or soon to be school-aged) children to learn about what their options are for public elementary schools and also to advocate that the city build a new school in the neighborhood. We've started the petition to show the City that there is a need and a demand in the neighborhood for a school to accommodate the building boom. The Department of City Planning made an error back in 2004 when they underestimated the number of residential units that would be built as a result of the rezoning and they and the DOE need to start planning for all the children moving to the neighborhood. Anyone can sign, because a new school would benefit all of the residents of the community and the surrounding neighborhoods. Click on the title of this post to be linked to the petition
